Frontier is SHADY... #1, and #2 fees...

    Shady Fees #1:
There is NOW an additional $10/month mandatory charge for THEIR router, unless you pay for the router in one-lump, or 3-split payments. Even if you don't need it, and use your own, it is mandatory and is sent in this new "scheme"... and you have to pay for the router, OR a recurrent monthly fee.

    $200 in one-lump, OR 3x$66ish payments.

    Over the years $10/month x 5 years=$600 for a sub-standard router w/ 1/3 the features of a sub-$200 router. My last $85ish router lasted about 3 years.

    Shady Fees #2":
ON TOP of a recovery fee to expansion to new areas, of which The Gargler says it's like ~$2/month.

Gig fiber, $65 per month flat, no extra fees, no contract.

That sucks about the router fee, I guess they decided they're just going to get their money either way. If it's any consolation, Frontier is not doing well as a company, so their infrastructure could very well get bought by another company in the not too distant future.

Frontier is terrible. Avoid them at all cost.
