    Firestick 4k? AMAZINGLY PERFECT!

I just unboxed one of the Black Friday Amazon Firestick 4k devices I got for $25/pop.

I was JUST thinking as I was unboxing it how power and volume with a seperate remote is kind of a PITA, but guess what?

Powers on and volume controls my TV. While I was unboxing it I was thinking it might be an issue for my lady to have to use 2 remotes, one specifically for power and volume, and the other for streaming, NOPE!

Cutting the cord, Amazon Firestick 4K might work as well with your TV?

I won't even need the TV remote for my use at all anymore.

I might put mouse toggle on it, but no need yet... wondering if a second remote will pair like/w/this stick too, same time?

Grabbed one also at $25, arrived a week or so ago, still in the box at this time.

You can pair up to SEVEN remotes to FireTV and use them at the same time. https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/custo...6RUV6X2KGHMSWS

And you can use your tablet/phone as a remote and also use the keyboards on your phone/tablet. Definitely get the FireTV app on your mobile device(s).

The only problem I have with the Fire remote, is you can easily lose/misplace it. So get a spare remote and/or put some bright covers on your remote.

You can also add a sidecar type remote to the Fire remote, to control more IR devices

There is also this interesting thing if you need even more remote ability for extra devices

There are other gadgets for the Fire remote as well.

            Thread NECROMANCY, update:
Christmas sales are a coming... might pickup a few on the $25 Holiday sales, if only for the use of the remotes, as a secondary, as the remotes go for the same price...

STILL VERY happy with these Firestick 4K's, and have zero desire to jump on any other train.

With the volume, AND power button that syncs w/every TV I have tried them on (including EVERY Hotel TVs I used it on, when traveling), essentially making any TV w/HDMI an aftermarket Smart TV, via dongle, one can't lose with these, and they keep up pretty well with everything we stream, including live TV streaming services. My Smart TV, not so much... and doesn't even support Hulu any longer, so this IS STILL the perfect solution.

Sometimes there is a youtube, or Netflix glitch where the audio continues to play from a stream, after hitting "BACK", and a memory leak that causes them to whack out and lag, a reboot fixes that up real quick, and I don't have to do that but like every 2-3 months.

I also really enjoy mine, only complaint is it could use double the memory for app storage. I also love these sleeves for the remotes, makes finding them easier

Yup, have them on all the TVs in the house. Isn't really a better option for $25

Sometimes audio from youtube glitches out, as in mutes and unmutes every few seconds. Does that on all of them. Hold the circle button and play for a few seconds and it forces the firestick to reboot. Sometimes you have to go through the manage apps and force quit all the apps and clear their caches and it speeds up considerably.

One thing I can't figure out is how to select inputs with the remote. It said the button combo on the initial setup but I zoomed through it and didn't write it down. So we have to use the mic and tell it to switch to hdmi 2 or whatever. I'll default it at some point so I can get that button combo.

We did too, and gave away, or sold all the Rokus on eBay...

Weird - I watch several of hours per day of Youtube on my Firestick 4K and it never ever glitches on audio. I usually only reboot once every 2 or 3 months.

You should remove and reinstall the Youtube app, also make sure the Fire has the latest firmware
