    Norton 360?

LifeLock is offering free Norton 360 for its customers.

For those who are familiar with it, what exactly does it do? Not sure if there is a teaser freebie service for a couple of years, and then when you are hooked, they start charging yearly fees. I'd hate to call LifeLock's CS as they are probably trained to sell the program to customers.

    Is it worth it?

The name of Norton security itself brings bad memories when it bogged down my computers until I bought new computers to replace the ones with Norton installed. Like herpes, it was not possible to get rid of.

I have Lifelock, but my experiences over the years with Norton were dreadful. I wouldn’t want it regardless of being free.

Norton 360 protects your computer by crashing it, if its not working, then hackers cannot steal your stuff.

No need for Norton or LifeLock.

            Lock down your credit scores.
            Use Carbonite.
            Image your hard drive regularly.
Don't do questionable things on the internet.

These things will keep you safe and if something happens, will help you recover quickly.

My kid once went to a free games website, and got a virus. I have since fixed it, but it took a while. I use System Mechanic Pro.

Avast is the best AV you can get. It's been proven in several studies.

The ONLY thing that Norton makes that I can advocate for is Norton Ghost. However, there are less complicated, and reliable imaging technologies, like Macrium Reflect.

These two, are the best virus protection you can have.

                              Same here,
I like the included Virtual Private Network (VPN) that's been recently included.
