    Need a new laptop

    My old 2015 Macbook Pro got stolen a while back and I figured I'd see if I can get any good deals during the holiday season for a replacement laptop.

    I was considering moving to a windows laptop.

    Main uses: Work, movies, streaming, some gaming.

    I've been looking into the Lenovo P1 or P43S.

    I like how they look more professional, specs look pretty good.

    Any other recommendations? I'd like to stay in the 1k range

      All we had was issues with 2 P1 Lenovos here at work...
      Maybe it is the PINKO BS they install here, but thought I'd mention it.

          I have a Lenovo P71 that I bought a couple years ago. Expensive as I added a high end video card, 64 GB of RAM, a CD/DVD drive, and a 1TB SSD. But, it's been flawless. I also have a couple Macs which are also both excellent.

          FYI, I have the Lenovo to run CAD and I use an old Dell keyboard and my old Apple 30" Cinema so I rarely use the Lenovo keyboard or screen.

              Some of the Windows laptops run in S mode. You may not want an S mode laptop.
