4K vs 1080 TV

I am planning on getting a Samsung TV from Costco or Best Buy. It will sit above an armoire, 6 ft high. 8 ft from viewing from the bed. Does 4K make a difference over 1080 at this distance in a 40-43 inch screen? the 4K is $50 more, but comes with 3 yr warranty vs 1 yr

4k is awesome with the right tv and the right settings. Some need to be calibrated to take full advantage of the tv though. I sit about 8 ft from a 65in 4k tv and I can totally tell the difference between 1080 and 4k. Check out this site for some more info on TVs.

We replaced all of the TV's in our house with 4K tv's.

A better image at any distance.

Amazon prime video has a lot of 4K programming.

Don't hesitate to get a bigger tv as well, a 50" is where 4k really starts to shine.

many say that, but i have seen a comparison side by side of 1080 and 4K and you can tell, unless your eyes are horrible.

I don't know where you got that info, but the human eye is capable of seeing about 576 "megapixels". It's just not a linear measurement like a TV due to the way our eyes work. A 16:9 4k TV is only about 8.3 megapixels.
