From what I understand, this is during initial set up. But, is there something else I can do to keep my WiFi secure? Should I hide my network name, too?

You can change your WiFi password to mitigate this.
The setup of the ring device had a few second window where transmissions were not secure, and part of the transmission was the WiFi password.
This only compromises you if someone else was recording the Wi-Fi transmissions in this exact moment. -
