Hard drives for the car-

I was thinking about getting a small SSD for the car
I figured I could add a ton of music and audio books onto a portable SSD

Feed the music via Bluetooth or 3.5mm headphone jack
Power from cigarette lighter port.


This is new territory for me.


Where should I start? Any suggestions on products?

You could use a tablet.

Buy a cheap, "BAD ESN/IMEI" used Android that supports up to a 2TB MicroSD card, and use that in the 12v-to-USB adapter, nav. of music might be easier...

If your car has USB port you could use a thumb drive. But I'm guessing it doesn't.

If your car already has Blue Tooth than it most likely can accept USB sticks, really easy.

For older cars: There are a number of small devices which plug into your lighter port and take USB sticks and Tune in wireless to your radio deck and you play a tone of stuff. Really cheap!
