As 5g is rolling out, I would buy a refurb / used phone. I use to reccomend hardware but 5g is making a lot of the Wilson style repeaters- antenna on the roof and signal gets rebroadcast in the home.

As 5g is almost across CA, I would wait

My wife has one in her office, and I bought one off of eBay for my son's apartment for $35. Both work great.

Note that if you are buying a used one, it MUST have been deactivated by the previous owner. If it is still attached to their account, you will not be able to connect it to your own account.

My At&t Microcell is still workink great, have had it about 6-7 years. At&t sent it to me for free due to poor reception in my area.
