In doing a search for Pear Linux, I noticed Distrowatch had "Pearl" Linux and "Last Update: 2018-07-19 21:51"
Installed it in <6 minutes(or I lost track of time?) after a ~3 minute Rufus ISO-to-Flash-stick drop, and WOW! I'm back in Pear-ish Linux-GUI Business!!!
Live Distro like Pear, AND install-able.
I noticed a few weird artifacts/missing info, but after changing the colors, NOT TEA BAG!
It appears Compiz effects are default, and wobbly windows working like fluid, not to mention the response times, OOTB even running from a USB stick on a Core2 Duo.
EDIT: It looks like the application launcher in Pearl Linux Desktop 7.1 might be horked, but checking other builds of this now...

More testing will tell.
