Anyone else get this email from Amazon Today? Info breach?

    Hello,

We’re contacting you to let you know that our website inadvertently disclosed your name and email address due to a technical error. The issue has been fixed. This is not a result of anything you have done, and there is no need for you to change your password or take any other action.

    Sincerely,
    Customer Service

I am assuming I can expect a flood of spam email for the life of my email account now.

THIS is only one reason to make purchases and register shopping accounts with a spam account you don't check except when you desire to... your phones and tablets don't notify you of spam.

Even if Amazon sent this to me, I wouldn't even know, as I do not check my spam accounts unless I desire info... and the subsequent spam that could follow wouldn't be an issue either.

Is this legit, or did you not check the header info from the e-mail?

I guess the account you signed up with a spam account has nothing to do with the cc that you used for that purchase. Who cares about the email that is sent to you about changing your password or contacting them in case your account got compromised! You do know they keep all aspects of the interaction and the email is what calls out that info?
