    Browser Replacement for Firefox

First world problem here. I've used Firefox for years but the updates over the last year have made deleting cookies way to annoying. I don't allow cookies unless absolutely necessary and earlier versions of Firefox made deleting them relatively painless but now the process is ridiculous.

So, does anyone have a recommendation on another browser for Windows 10? I've tried a search but came up with zilch. I've also not found anything by Mozilla to streamline the cookie deletion process. Thanks!

Options are slim right now. You have Chrome which forces you to log in to the browser with the same account that you check your email and youtube with, so they can cross pollinate your browsing data. And IE/Edge has its various stigmas with varying degrees of truth to them. Then there's Chromium or Opera which are much smaller time but people seem to really like them. Chromium in particular is the open sourced version of Chrome, so there's theoretically less corporate meddling.

Just download and install CCleaner, and use it to clean cookies. No need to change browsers. That's kinda drastic.

        Or, just go HERE:

Learn how to delete cookies that store website preferences and login status, remove site data and clear cached web content in Firefox.

And follow the instructions. Easy enough.

                -1 CCleaner.

If you are familiar with Firefox, dump it and down load Palemoon browser. The creator formerly worked for Mozilla and Palemoon isn't a memory hog.

                  Palemoon, eh?
Never heard of it but going to try it out.

My mistake - I didn't add that it's both erasing and selecting to block cookies that are the problems. Erasing is bad enough with another step added, but the blocking cookies selection now has a drop down menu to choose which cookies (all, third party, etc.) to block. The menu choice always defaults to third party which, of course, still lets cookies through.

I'm leery of Edge and Chrome because of MS and Google. Opera is out because it has been bought by the Chinese, and if they're bugging their phones they will most certainly bug Opera. Haven't read anything really good or bad on Chromium but it doesn't appear to support private browsing to any great extent. I believe Palemoon is about like Chromium but I'll take another look at it.

So far the best candidates are Tor, Epic and Brave. Right now the developer of Brave is somewhat integrating the private browsing features of Tor and once this is complete it looks like the winner will be Brave.

By the way, I like to use private browsing occasionally. Here's an example why - I was looking at buying airline tickets last year and looked at numerous day/time combinations. After finding the best match I went to purchase the tickets only to find that their price had jumped. The ticket website was able to pin down my IP and up the price based on my searches. Private browsing would have shielded my IP and prevent the website from zeroing in on mine.

Last thing I can do is see if there is a Firefox add-on that will streamline the cookie experience.

                      Isn't Palemoon basically Firefox "EME-free"?

I recently booted up an old box from like 3 years ago, before Firefox 64 bit was official, and it was running Palemoon x64. As I recall Iceweasel and Palemoon used stuff in Firefox folders, on Windows boxes anyways...

If I don't want anything to carry over, I just use Firefox Private Windows. Pr0nhub has no clue I've been there before, which is the same way I login to GMAIL.

Look in the "Open Menu" option (three horizontal lines), and check in "Add Ons".

You can also try FireFox Portable. That's what I use, with no issues like that.

*and CHROME does not FORCE you to login - they just hide the tiny "no, thanks" link fairly well....
