Samsung j7 issues

So when I shut down my phone or when it autostarts/shutdown the bottom half of the screen flashes in an offwhite. I checked the simm card and the memory card to make certain that they are firmly seated. Also checked the battery.. anyone have ideas what might be the issue?

do you sit down with it in your back pocket? If so you might have broken/cracked the screen behind the glass.

my Samsung S6 would say it had no sim card from time to time it was because I broke part of the motherboard.

No, I never put it in my back pocket. I often use my cargo pocket on my shorts... it also has a hard cover shell...

Seems like many are having the screen flicker issue with the J7. Have you tried any of the solutions posted on youtube?

I had one for 3+ years with no issues, and still have it as spare phone #1.

A great phone for the price. If you're not looking at the newer J7 (T-Mo) you could check pricing at a repair shop. As a point of reference, you could ask a dealer for the cost to replace the screen through an authorized repair center...that's normally high end and usually high quality...point of reference is $200 to replace a broken screen glass on an I7.

Thank you.. I watched some videos and the issue was the BJ's app that was causing the glitch. Uninstalled, rebooted and bam! Fixed.
