(placing this thread in the tech forum, but hopefully it may have some 2A/legal use)
Anybody know how the CFARS system was build?
Anybody know the software procurement or development cycle works within the DOJ?
In other AW registration threads, some have commented that the system was designed to discourage registration and designed to be as manual as possible.
Is that something we can proof from a technical side?
Just thinking out loud, regardless if the DOJ has an in-house software team or if they bid the project out, they must have some kind of design specification on what the system should look like, how it should be built etc. There would be documents on when the project started, how it progressed, how much it costs etc.
Additional info that us techies can also draw a lot of info from would be things like database design, system capacity sizing, design redundancy/resiliency.
Are these documents public record? Perhaps we can investigate how the system was put together as legal proof of their inherent 2A hostility?
