bought a used computer with win 10 school now a flag in the right lower corner say time to renew but I key don't work can I upgrade to win pro and not loose all my stuff thanks Don

Sorry to say but unless you got a good deal for good specs, you got fleeced.

The $99 upgrade fee to pro is fair if you're running unlicensed 10 home, but I wouldn't trust that install.

Depends on the specs of your used computer though, since for $500 you can have a very nice new computer, either desktop or laptop.

Can you just hit activate, and see if Windows just got stuck on stupid?

I have had that happen on multiple occasions, and just clicking, and being willing to reactivate has resolved...
