iPhone Google maps car bluetooth?

GF can't get her iPhone to play Goole maps directions through the car speakers. In fact in the car Google maps won't say any directions. Other bluetooth stuff (phone calls) work fine.

Any tips?

did she turn off the voice part of google maps? i can turn off voice notification in waze even if the phone is connected via bluetooth

check that part.

also is she doing it via browser or via app? i dunno if the browser version has voice. I just tried the app and it has sound over bluetooth (my headset)

EDIT. Nope. I think she has to go see an iPhone nerd at the store or something.
