I just purchased the Nvidia Shield & a blue tooth key board on Amazon, came to $185.
I sure hope this solves the freezing & digital stutter I have had on my generic Android box

One thing I dont like, It seems like it is google based, I hate hardware that comes with total google crap.
I will be looking for a workaround to delete google apps & their snoop crap

Android TV is a Google operating system and unless you sideload you are limited to the few apps in Google's Android-TV app store. It's not the vanilla Android app store including TV optimised version of Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, etc plus Kodi. I'm not sure what you plan to use the Shield for but it's a specialized Android TV device that just works. Play with it a bit before you make too many changes. BTW I use a Logitech K400+ HTPC keyboard with mine but only for setup, mice and keyboards are not needed to navigate Android TV or use Android TV apps.

I havent tried Terraruim TV, I use KODI-Durex on my Android 8" tablet & mecool box

I will certainly give a review of the Nvidia Shield in the next week.
Its nearly double the cost of the generic Android boxes , so I'm sure we are all interested in the performance.

I bought mine based on Shollings-nine_mil_thrill review....

edit: any apps I run are dL on my computer as apk & installed on USB
generally just KODI & a build, I do connect my NAS to the media box also.
Im not a fan of google play store....

Kodi is in the Android TV Play Store. It's normal Kodi and not a customised version.
