    Wi-fi security

I'm running WEP. I want to change to WPA-2.

How do you do it on a machine running windows 10?

    Thanks

this is controlled on the access point. You need to update the configuration on the access point. Reply with the make/model of the AP so others can chime in on the step-by-step.

So the password and security are in the wireless device.

Google the model and you will find out the IP address to type to get to the router.

If you do not have the admin password, you can press the button and physically reset the router.

Good time to check if there is a firmware update for the router as well

Wow. WEP was crackable by everyone when Pentium III notebooks were old.

You might notice a HUGE boost in performance, especially when people do not disassociate you constantly, just to have you auto-reconnect so they can get more WEP packets to crack your 1337 "crypto"...
