    Disable Lenovo update. Install important windows updates after they been out for 2 weeks or more.

        My hope is that within a year or two, someone will write code, and proper drivers to allow most games to be played on Linux.

        I can write for Windows, but don't have the familiarity with Linux yet.

          If you use other windows products like Office you need the updates for certain bugs. You can pick and choose these updates after a bit of research. You do not need all of them. Just saying it causes some problems but fixes some.

            Running a P50 with Win 10 Pro and Office 2010, among many other things. I have all of the latest MS and Lenovo updates and the Laptop runs just fine.

              No you don't, I use MSOffice 2013 every day, and have been for 3 years now, have NEVER updated it, and it works just fine.
