    Long range music player

I would like to place outdoor speakers around my house. It's about 1,200sqft with stucco walls. I would like to place speakers primarily on my front and back yard. I'm placing my receiver/amp in a cabinet close to the center inside of my house. I would like to know what would be the best way to control my music and volume from the distance of my yards. Total distance is probably 20-40 feet with some walls in between. I will primarily be playing music from Amazon on my phone and send the sound to the receiver in the house thru the walls. I don't think bluetooth is good enough for such distance.

Any suggestions? I just gotta play Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath when I bbq or wash my cars.

Why stream it from outside to inside only to stream it back out?

Have you considered a top quality portable Bluetooth speaker? Get quality unit and you'll get portability and base!

      If wired, quality speaker wire.
You might be able to use BT transmitter and receivers.

Hope your neighbors aren't close. That's one sure way to piss them off.

That said, I use Sonos and from what I've heard of the other systems out there, Sonos is vastly superior. Wirelessly have music in every room of your house and take one of their all in one units outside when you want to. Control every room, inside or outside with the app on your phone or tablet.

          Wait for Bluetooth 5 devices.

Look for a wifi streamer such as Sonos.

For those distances this works great. I read the reviews for a number of sites and was pretty impressed. It has not disappointed. Great sound and and full volume will last for about 10 hours.

I just wear headphones when I wash my vehicles.

I have a BT receiver in a closed MDF cabinet in both my garage and shop, brick walls. I can get out to about 50' away before I lose signal, that's with the cabinet door closed and going through the brick.

If you want an inexpensive way to test distance, buy a cheap bluetooth speaker and set it up where your receiver is going to go. Once you've set up your system, use the portable one for travel, etc.
