Anyone running a normal or modded thin client?

    I came across an HP T610 WES(XPe) mini-PC HTPC.

I figured it was cute and it would be nice to have as a garage computer. But it is a thin client and I have not set one of those us before. Do I need a Thin Server or something? Can it be swapped out with a different mobo and run as a regular comp? I am exploring my choices.

I am wondering how hard it would be to run a VM of Windows XP server after I beef up my computer a bit and keep it minimized and connect to it...

    Wow. This looks really cool...

Healthcare IT traditionally faces unique challenges deploying and managing virtual desktops throughout organizations. Strict regulations, budgets, and requirements to remain flexible and allow mobile workers and BYOD create significant challenges for Healthcare IT. Another challenge, and perhaps the greatest of these, is doing all of the above while also ensuring the highest security standards. This

But, what if I want to convert a thin machine to a full PC and just connect to the network via wifi or something like that?

I am running a single-core thin client with upgraded RAM (Running Slackware to keep it lean and mean) and an SSD (powered off a 5v USB header w/ a custom-soldered cable I made) on a internal SATA port that was unused by default as a thin client.

      I mainly use it as a one-trick-pony ssh-tunnel server.

They are CHEAP on eBay for like an older model 2+ core... Make sure it has a SATA header, or you can get a SSD for an internal connector.

      I have a Core-2-Duo running Win 7
