    Hard Goods Value Tracking App

    Hey guys,

I'm designing a value tracking app for physical assets. Why?
Because there are dozens of apps for tracking my investments, bank balances, and 401K, but nothing for physical assets. I wanted a market value for my bullets, my guns, and my precious metals so I would have a real idea of my net worth - toward which "physical assets" are almost always ignored by the app world, but they make up a pretty big chunk of a lot of people's net worth.

I'm trying to get a grip on what should be included - without overloading the app with tens of thousands of individual items.

    Example:
    9mm Rounds = $0.19ea xQTY =Inventory Value
    9mm Pistol = $500 xQTY =Inventory Value

There's too many variations of 9mm Rounds to include all of them, so I put in a set value which reflects the lowest market price for 9mm ammunition.

There's too many 9mm Pistols out there to inventory all of them separately, so I went with an average of what 9mm pistols sell for on the used market.

I have several metals and currencies (which update throughout the day) I need more physical items. The calguns community is basically the target audience for this app, so - What do you guys think I should include?

It sounds like an Excel spreadsheet.

Basically it is (and I mean that literally, the app pulls its information from a spread sheet).

It's just meant to make it more user-friendly and easily viewed on mobile devices.

The idea is that everyone will have their own spread sheet with their quantities and the app just becomes a lens that references the sheet and makes it look better and be easier to navigate on mobile devices.

              No centralized recording.
