    Bluetooth Headphones

My iPhone 6splus gave up the ghost, so I now have a 7. No aux jack, so I'm looking for a good set of Bluetooth earbuds. I have some over the ear types that are fine for lifting weights, but want something smaller for running. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I use these, cheap but have been great so far.

I have the same headphones in red.

They started out fine, but now have occasional problems maintaining a clear BT connection and they will randomly distort for no apparent reason.

Fidelity is only average as well...

Thanks fellas. I don't need premium sound quality. Just something that delivers punk rock and podcasts when my big a** runs.

I'm not an expert because I haven't compared them to lots of other wireless headphones but I bought this brand a while ago and I've always been impressed with the loudness and the bass compared to traditional earbuds in the ear style wired headphones.

You see, the last corded headset earphones I had bought were right from iPhone store (I wanted a 100% guaranteed not to be poor Chinese knockoffs that you might get if you order them online.) and when I tested them they were not as loud as older earphones from iPhone or even other makes and models.

So I think MAYBE some companies are reducing the volume output (of both cordless and wired headphones) to protect sensitive ears, you know... " it's for the children".

But this brand and model have volume control right on them and do get plenty loud for me.

This MEKURY company might even be making a newer version but who knows what companies are making louder versions.

I wanted to add that if you plan to jog or run in them or maybe even eat a meal (which makes your ears move) you might also want to look for the type that has the little rubber hooks that hold on to your ear rather than just the earbud style that goes in the ear.

I think because the earbuds weigh a little bit more, than the corded type, that gravity is always trying to pull them out of your ear canal.

I have bought a ton of bluetooth headphones over the last few years. The best I have found so far are the LG Tone Active. They are comfortable and deliver good sound.

The Wirecutter has a couple of workout headphone suggestions at the high side of your budget (note prices shown are for Canada, US prices are lower). To be honest I've tried out a lot of BT earphones and in-ear-monitors (IEMs) and I haven't found much that meets my high standards for sound quality that cost less than $100 and the best sounding IEMs aren't sweat resistant or super durable. Jabra's Move on-ear headphones are the best under $100 BT cans that I've tested so far but I wouldn't choose them for workouts.

AfterShokz Bluez 2S are specifically designed for running and biking and while not audiophile quality, sound pretty decent for bone induction headphones. For safety reasons, bone induction headphones do not block any traffic noises. You might want to give the Aftershokz a look.
