Car audio installers

Any Calgunners here do car audio installation on the side or as a main job? I'm looking to install a 5 channel and a subwoofer on 2016 toyota tundra. I live in sfv and the local shops around me that I checked out don't take pride on their work, take short cuts and crappy wirings. I'm willing to pay for quality work.

Your probably better off doing it yourself. If you buy from Crutchfield they will help guide you. They do have higher prices, but you'll be saving from having to pay someone.

Have you checked out Street Sound Plus in North Hills? I've had them install my head unit and speakers a few years back and they did a clean job. Haven't had any issues.

DIY.

Plan the build; look up DIY's on your specific truck and be proactive so you don't end up with a door panel off only to find out you don't have the appropriate speaker adapter (that's if you can't fabricate your own). You'll get into it as you learn to tune your system as well and learning cross-over points, time alignment, etc.

I've competed at MECA years ago and won several SQL comps and this is coming from someone who's only done MIL/LEO/car business as a profession.

Thanks for the recommendation. I ended up going to soundsation in Santa clarita. Their price was decent and a great job on the installation. I would've try to do it my self but my truck had 12 speakers with a sub. I tried watching all the YouTube I could and it still didn't make sense.

Are you now running 12 speakers on a 5ch amp?

I have front and rear components and a sub that is running off the 5 channel amp. The 3 dash speakers are running off the head unit.
