An iPhone with VPN works when using work wifi...but I cannot get my Android to connect. Tried different ports and countries. Just doesn't work. It used to a few months ago. Suggestions?

Android VPN not connecting at work

in the app change your settings to TCP port 443. This usually fixes connection issues with VPN connectivity. many providers block UDP and lots of ports that VPNs use to connect to their servers. -

Perhaps a patch or update messed it up. Have you reviewed the logs to see where its failing?
Sometimes the VPN client on the phone itself has some differences in how it negotiates the connection.
I've had issues like that in the past with IPSec when dealing with mixed vendors.
You might need to make some adjustments on the phone end, and if you can there, on the server end.ExtremeXComment

I work at a large hospital and the firewalls block all vpns. I finally found one that worked and they blocked it 1 month later. Tunnel bear is the one that worked. Its free for 500megs per month.
If it works they are blocking ports and vpn.
Using non standard ports work for a while but if they are good and watching they will catch it.
Find out if any of the execs remote into work and then use the same ports they use.Comment
