I don't know anything about either phone, but have you checked out the One Plus 3t? I had the nexus 5 myself and wanted something that ran pure android. The pixel was too expensive but the 3t that I ended up with uses Oxygen Os and is pretty dang close to the stock android OS. The specs on it amazing, and the price is much better than the pixel.
