    Bluetooth headset recommendation for mobile

I've been trying a few but can't seem to find anything better than Voyager Edge. It's been fritzing out on me recently.

    Requirements:
    - Must be able to connect with two mobile phones (my personal and work)
    - Must be able to send sounds (calls, music, waze [adp2?]) to both mobile phones, not simultaneously obviously
    - dedicated mute button (i'm in a lot of calls and hearset mute button is easier so utilize than muting it on the mobile phone)
    - more integration like voice dialing/searching from headset

    What I have:
    * plantronics voyager - 4 yrs old i think. fits the bill but no dedicated mute button or voice activiation (can't seem to make it work, but it's the pc compatible version where you can use it for pc also)
    * voyager edge - drawback is that for iphone, iphone will only send sound notifications to headset for text message, but for calls, iphone rings both the headset and the phone. problem replicated at apple store when they pulled and tried a bluetooth speaker. weird bug for iphone
    * [returned] motorola whisper - oddly this headset allowed the iphone to do sound notifications for text messages on both iphone and headset. but it can only stream music/movie/waze sound to primary device. ear bugs were painful and even with voyager ear buds, it was still slightly painful in ear. no dedicated mute button.

i'm thinking of senheiser though pricey!

Not if it's hands free Bluetooth.

I use a Motorola hk255 I got for $20 on Groupon. Only thing it doesn't have is the headset mute button. Works pretty well for me anyways

I have yet to find anything that works better than the Voyage Edge. What's I've found is that it really needs to be worn on the same side as your phone. The BT signal appears to have difficulty penetrating the human body. I'm sad to say that the old Voyager Legend has the same issue. The new and expensive Voyager 5200 is supposed to have slightly better range but I'm still waiting for reviews.

BTW I've had good luck with refurbished Voyager Edges.

Drivers may not wear headsets that cover both ears. The driver is also forbidden to hold his phone while driving and may only make a single tap on the phone.

I actually had a refurb also for the voyager edge. This is after it feel into the toilet while my little one was peeing and I didn't use the look. grrrr... It's lasted maybe 7 months now but the problem is it starts disconnecting now and then. I resorted to the voyager legend and that seems stable, hence i think the edge may have been just dropped one too many times that it's not inconsistent.

I do wear it opposite of the phone (left but phone is on right). Maybe I should just get a new edge just in case.

I use the phone a lot for work and the best headset I found to be used with cell phones is PLT-VLGD

Working from anywhere means not being tied down. With HP Poly Bluetooth headsets & earbuds, you can blaze new trails. Even while walking down one.
