    GoPro and Phone video editing

I'm trying to start doing some videos from a drone and trying to connect them to other videos I'm wondering who would be the best platform to start video editing that would be user friendly and easy to put together. What would Calguns recommend a guy who is techie enough to figure things out, but am new to video editing. I'm likely going to be upgrading my computer at some point in the near future as well due to the needs of a better resolution, and processing capabilities. This will mainly be used for 1080p video and rarely higher resolution, as well as phone video, and maybe another platform here or there but that would be rarely. Thanks in advance...

First time for everything. Burro Canyon. All levels. Great time. We had a drone but I don't have that footage yet.

      Do you have a mac?
I don't YET have a mac and am just starting to eyeball those now also. I'm not sure if that is the ONLY way to go, or if I should just stick to the PC platform I already know, and get high end software that is intuitive to use and friendly for the kinds of videos I want to make. This is for home use, a bit of commercial use, and trying to make some videos for friends that turn out with some decent quality. Just looking into software more than anything right now.

I'm actually looking for the picatinny mount right now so I can do a bit of shooting with the gopro also, and just get different angles. I've already got a photographer on the line who wants me to do orbiting aerials of a wedding but that would be much different insurance and liability so I'm not sure I want to take that on. Also he is throwing me $75.00 per shot of houses for sale as for real estate that I can get . I definitely don't mind doing that for him either because it is a buddy of mine. I may be able to get into wind farm inspection while up here in Idaho but again another realm of insurance.

Budget Mac is to get a few year old manufactured refurbished. About the same cost as a new PC but will out last it. For movies I use Imovie which is great. I also use the Gopro edit program - its free and works either platform and a $40 program called Filmora. Each does a little something the others don't and differently. Really I movie and the Gopro is all you need

And if I just stuck it out with the PC platform for now, what would be a sub $100 program that would be acceptable for decent editing without doing anything super fancy

Filmora and go pro... check out gopro fist as is free, does the basics just fine.
PC use to come with a free movie editor, not as good as Imovie, but still useful
