    How to watch 360 videos

I recently bought an iPhone 7... I'm trying to watch 360 degree videos but the image will not rotate. I am truly tech-tarded so any help would be appreciated.

I hadn't heard of 360 video. Not something I was interested in I guess. I loaded one by accident the other night on my ipad pro. Not realizing what it was and the way it loaded it looked like my screen malfunctioned. It had a large rounded black area across the entire bottom. I accidentally ran my pencil across the screen and it moved up showing that the black was just a dead spot in the cameras view. I was able to just scroll around the video with my pencil. Pretty amazing to be able to do that.

You should watch the Blue Angels one, I watched it on a friends phone and it was great. I'm sure I just need to download an app or something simple like that.

I just watched the Blue Angel video on my iphone 6. Using the youtube app the 360 video worked fine. I just dragged with my finger and could see every angle.

        That is a good video.

What I'd like to know about the 360 videos is how do I go from the finger dragging mode (where moving finger moves the camera lens view) into the mode where just moving my cell phone left right up and down moves the camera lens view?

              ^ Killerman,
Thanks but that doesn't help with my problem. I can get to the 360 video on YouTube that you've linked to

but my problem is I still have to touch the screen with my finger to move the camera around.

I have looked in my phone settings and there's nothing about turning on to motion sensors or similar settings.

I know my new phone is capable of it.

Maybe it's a setting in YouTube I'm not seen?

Strange, it should be automatic. I can do either/or with my 6 in portrait or landscape

above is for screen rotation for normal videos.
