    Cheapest Call & Text Phone

    Happy Thanksgiving!

I wanted to piggyback on my other thread in regards to a safe kids phone that only called select numbers. I think there was enough feedback in that thread to make an informed decision.

    Here's the situation....

I currently have Sprint where I pay 160 a month for 2 lines and after upgrading my recent iphone 6 to iOS 10 the thing no longer gets reception at all. I have had it less than a year and Apple and Sprint are playing the blame game even though its supposed to be under warranty.

After going 2 weeks without a "smartphone" I am realizing I don't really need one. The main thing I liked about my smartphone was GPS and maps. It has been a challenge to make calls at times in a pinch, but made me think about getting rid of it for good.

    What say you?

What about those phones that you can supposedly get for free? I saw a guy at the park the other day and he had a sign for free phones. Not sure how the program works but you probably already pay for it with your tax dollars anyways. At least that way you are getting something back.

Pitbull30, I work for Sprint and would be happy to file a ticket internally for you to help get a resolution. That shouldn't have happened with the software update but occasionally it does.

PM me your info and I'll submit the ticket if you'd like.
