Scanning program for recipes on 3x5 cards

Anyone know a program that will let me scan and then let me move and/or retype text on old 3x5 cards that have some smear marks on them. Turn them into editable PDF files?
Cards are old, done on a 1950'ish typewriter complete with all the flaws of being used over the years.

    Thanks

I don't have an exact suggestion, what you're looking for is called OCR - optical character recognition. Basically a program that analyze scanned images or pictures and look for letters and words.

For kicks, try this.. install google translate on your phone, take a picture of the card and then do an English to English translation.

Edit: scanning and analysis are 2 separate steps, usually.

Why not scan it , open it in a draw program. And edit it with text overlay ?

For a program to recognize 1950's cursive writing will be quite the trick.

What is this PDF architect? Off to google.

thanks for the replies. The OCR answered my question on if I needed that mod. on the Pdf program, I think.
May give Google translate thing a try, but I know less about smartphones than computers, and that is not much.

As others have said any scanner that includes OCR software (most do) should do the trick... since they were done on a typewriter. If any are handwritten, then it will not be fun!
