Kids phone that can only call 1 or 2 numbers

Im looking for a kids phone that can only call 1 or 2 numbers and 911. I tried the smart phone with my daughter and she was constantly on it and some perverts started texting her asking about explicit things.

Have any of you used a basic phone with kids? I mainly want it for school purposes. Emergency, pickups etc.

    maybe this will help.

i believe in my windows phone and i think in the old andriod had you could block all numbers unless they were in the contact list.

they perverts got the number from somewhere you sure she wasnt the one sharing it?

Verizon has a watch that only calls pre programmed numbers as well as GPS function.

I think she posted the number online. Shes in elementary school. I got it so I could call when picking her up from school due to the crowd. I turned it off when I saw some of the texts. I dont need text. Just voice to 1 or 2 numbers and 911 in case of emergency at home or school

You can't be too careful nowadays.

That would have been even funnier if they made weiner look like Alfred E Neuman.

              This.

              Sprint
Sprint's parental controls are more limited than AT&T's and Verizon's, but does offer some built-in family controls, as well as Sprint Family Locator service, which is purchased separately.

              Built-in options include:

Block callers (though you will have to log into your MySprint account to block particular callers one at a time)
Control outgoing calls (though you will need to program the phone to do this)

My mother got this for my neice, the scumbag parents put the SIM in another phone and used the prepaid to call their friends, but I doubt your daughter would do that:

                Nice idea.

Be advised: The SIM CAN be inserted into another device.

AppLock is a VERY robust application for Android, effectively dumbing-down an Android to do what applications you allow in the controls, and requires a password to do anything else.
You have to play with it, and learn something, but it works well, and no new phone needed(, of course... assuming you are smart and don't buy your kids $100+ iPhones).
I haven't played with the blocked numbers or anything, but you can stop text-apps access...

Sounds like there definitely needs to be some conversation about what is and isn't safe behavior online. Tech solutions help but are no substitute for good parenting and communication with your kids.

All phones that power on will call 911 even if they aren't on a plan. Won't help you with the 1 or 2 numbers though.

Look at Gizmo. Daughter got it for 7yr old grandson. You can set which numbers it can call or receive calls from. It's wearable so harder to lose. You can put an app on your phone that will let you see where it is.

You can get FamilyBase on a Verizon phone it's 5 bucks a month and you can turn off the phones Texts, and Data and looks like you can also add numbers you can call , (I'm not sure about all the features because I only use it to limit the data on out phones) but looks like it can do more, hope this helps can always go into a Verizon store for more details
                            Regards,

I just picked up a gizmopal for my daughter. I can control everything it does from an app from my phone. I setup what phone numbers she can communicate to and from, it also has pre-programmed texts that she can send me. Since we already had a verizon plan it costs me $5 a month line access.
