    iPod Classic Repair Service?

I have a iPod Classic 80gb that needs some TLC. The battery is no longer taking/holding much of a charge, the scroll wheel intermittently will not skip tracks when pressed, and the display surface has scuffing/marring that hampers viewing of track info. etc. Model #A1136, Manufacture Date 2007, Serial #Q283901KV9P.

Any recommendations on a reputable repair shop that I can send it to for repair/cleaning? Apple is out as the prices they want for out-of-warranty repair/service amount to robbery, IMO.

Why would you spend extra money on sub-par products anyway?
You like status symbols, or are you a hipster that enjoys proprietary, overpriced, old tech?

You would be better off getting an ipod touch 6th gen. I have one just for audiobook. MP3 players are a dying breed. You won't find a quality MP3 player with bluetooth for less then the ipod. As much as i dislike apple I have not found an MP3 player that fits my needs better.

New (old) ones are pretty expensive. Are you handy with smart phone tools?

I replaced a headphone jack on a nano 6. It was the first part installed, so the last one to come out.

There are several suppliers of replacement parts that also supply very good instructions & tool kits. I've replaced the battery & cover on mine. ifixit.com is a great source.

No, not that at all. Apple can call their product whatever they please. I asked because every time apple is mentioned you join in with an anti apple rant.
