    Really odd problem / Blu-Ray & TV

I have a Samsung Blue-Ray player that seems to be racist against my LG TV...when plugged in to it, I get no sound and 99.9% no picture. It's been plugged into this TV for a year or so and just suddenly stopped working right.

Here's what I've used to troubleshoot so far:
    1 Samsung BD-F5100 Blu-Ray player
    1 LG TV
    1 Sony TV
    1 Vizio TV
    3 HDMI cables

    Here's what I know:
The player works when plugged into the Sony and the Vizio
My set top box works via HDMI on the LG tv, in all ports.
The player does not work on the LG TV, in any port, or with either of the three HDMI cables.

    Here's what I don't know:
Why doesn't the player like my LG TV???

I called LG tech support, they say that the TV is functioning properly.

I called Samsung tech support, he said the player seems to be functioning as it should but gave me two more tasks to do:
    1) make sure firmware is up to date. I know that it is on the player but unsure on the LG...will have to check when I get home later.
    2) Try another HDMI device (besides the set-top box) on the LG tv.

So, anyone else have any ideas?

Had the same issue with my 3 fifth wheel tvs.

BluRay would work on two of them but not the third.

Replaced the player under warranty - Problem solved....

No idea if ours is still under warranty. I should have asked while I had them on the phone...

                    Update:

I finally got around to trying another HDMI device, a Chromecast. It had the same result as the blue-ray player.

I called a local TV repair guy and he recommended that I change the setting in the blue-ray player from 1080p to 1080i or 720.

I did that, and it worked! TV guy said there is a chip on the board that probably needs replacing and it would be cheap. $65 for him to look at it, which would go towards repairs and the chip is less than $20.
