random static with head phones?

I recently built a new pc. I intermittently hear poping and static when using VOIP. Youtube and in game sound sounds clear, no issues. I'm moving around the head phones front the jack to the rear to see if it stops. The mic isn't working in the rear. So for now I have in the front jack which is hooked via the case. Drivers are to up to date.

headphones are logitech G230's

CPU Intel 15 6500.
GPU R9 390
8 Gigs of ram.
