    Trail Camera

Bought a house in El Dorado county. Have all sorts of critters going though the backyard. Yesterday even saw a mountain lion. Would like to set up a trail camera. Don't know much about them, and found out there are several choices.
    Any recommendation? Budget is $100-150

I have a cabelas brand and a cuddeback trail cam . I tend to like the cabelas one better because it has a preview screen in side the cover when you open it up . both of them take an sd card so you can slide that in to your lap top and see full size images . Oh and the cabelas brand comes with an easy mount screw base that you can screw into a tree by hand and then mount the camera to the base , that way you dont have to use any strap that is to short to go around a large tree .

Stealth Cam G42 or Covert MP8 is just around $110. You can find a lot of them online. My MP8 works perfect.

I know it's beyond your budget, but consider an IP camera hooked up to a 4g connection. With infrared lighting you can spot quite a bit! I'm hoping to get a video of a mountain lion eating one of these deer. A few years back it drug a deer under our deck!

I bought a Bushnell black led one for wild life and security from Trailcampro.com.
They were great to work with. They have reviews with the pros and cons of many models. They also give an extra year warranty for free. Mine had a problem after a year and they sent me a replacement with no hassle.
            Good outfit.

I used a Primo Workhorse Trail cam. It worked great until it got stolen. Pics were clear and I was able to get pics from about 40yards away no problem.
They cost from $50-$70 but I actually found mine at Walmart on clearance for $20. Check Walmarts.
