Programmers - Need Some Advice Please..

Howdy... I need a bit of advice for my son please...

He just completed an intensive programming course at Learning Fuze in Irvine and is now going to be going out into the job market. I am guessing he would like to say around OC or LA, but probably would also consider other parts of CA. I am not at all familiar with what languages, etc. he learned so please don't ask me that.

Any advice on where or what he should be doing would be greatly appreciated...

    Many thanks in advance..... Duck

What is his undergraduate degree in?

It's not uncommon for a programmer's first job to be in a) QA/test or b) support ( investigating bugs, writing patches, etc ), so don't rule those jobs out. If he doesn't have a compsci or engineering degree, or he doesn't have demonstrable skills in an in-demand domain, that might be the only way in.

I don't know anything about the Learning Fuze, but if it's not a multi-year accredited program of study I'm not sure of the utility of it.

Do you help me find a job after graduation?
Yes, we have built and continue to build a network of employers and staffers in the LA/OC/IE area. As you progress during the course, you will find you have an affinity towards certain things…say back-end coding compared to front end user-experience. Based on your progress, preferences and committed engagement to the post program process we will find the right job opportunities and connect you with those companies.
