    9-10" Android tablets under $300?

Any recommendations? Would like to stay with SD card slot models.

I recently bought one of these for my wife... She loves it.

    $205.00

    Samsung Tab E: http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galaxy...=samsung+tab+e

We both have Samsung phones and this looks and feels just like a giant Samsung phone.

I have a Samsung Note 5 and my wife has a Samsung S7.

Hey, thanks. That looks a pretty decent one. For whatever reason, I thought most of the Samsungs were out of my price range.

It's fast, and it has a micro sd card slot so that you can upgrade the memory whenever you are ready.

Good luck with whichever device you choose!

Wow! Samsung Galaxy Tab E 9.6" 16 GB Wifi (Black) looks so cool. And I think the price is just right!

I prefer 7" tablets, as they fit in every trouser and jacket pocket that isn't tiny-pocketed-Jeans. The other ones were just too large for convenience.

(I got my 7" Asus MemoPad 16GB for under $120, but I don't waste time playing games on tablets, so I don't need more than a few gigs of storage. I got my 32gb, 1st-gen Nexus 7 2012 for about the same price with internal GSM.)

I also wanted to buy 7" Asus MemoPad but I heard that the screen resolution is too low. Is it true?

                Too low for what?
(Sung to "Turn down for what"...)

I use it every day at work on lunch and before work to check Scottrade, a few threads here, and some other things. I don't watch movies on it, but I do watch instructional youtube videos set on HD and have seen zero issues visually. There have been a few times I couldn't get a GPS fix, but I think that is due to the mag-case-clip-cover(, and 2 of my phones also couldn't get a fix at that time either)...

I was REALLY slow, before some updates, but it is very fast now.

I don't play games on my tablets, or phone, but the personal-productivity I use it for is great!

Tablets sound cool but the first thing to think through is how you are going to use it, I mean what are you really actually going to use it for and choose your tool accordingly. I own a couple of tablets and find 16gb tablets to be of very-very limited usefulness. While some tablets will allow you to add additional storage via a microSD card, a lot of applications will only run from main storage. I personally think that 32GB plus an SD card is the starting point.

Next comes size. A 7" really isn't that much more useful for productivity or games than a 5.5" smartphone. On the other hand, a 7 or 8" tablet is a lot better than a phone for watching videos and makes a great electronic replacement for books, magazines, and newspapers - which is what I use them for. A 10" tablet is a lot better than a phone for watching videos and running productivity apps like a word processor but with no keyboard sucks at word processing when compared to even a small $300 laptop or Chromebook. If you are just looking for a very good video player and magazine/book reader then Amazon has their 10" 32GB Kindle Fire HD on sale starting at $210, and you can even pick up a 64GB version with a microSD card slot for under $300, but they suck for productivity because you are limited to the subset of Android apps and games that Amazon sells on their Play Store because Kindle Fires do NOT have access to Google's Play store. For productivity, you're probably better off with an 11.6" Lenovo 11e laptop or Lenovo Flex 2-in1. I own an 11e and they're fine for word processing and videos but don't try to game with one.
