    Truck Antennas

I have an 05 GMC Sierra that get's bad radio reception.
Even after upgrading equipment, new HD Radio\CD unit I have the same issue.
I'm still running the stock antenna.
I'd like better reception, but will upgrading the antenna alone help much?
Thinking on getting a better set-up also for a 2 way for road trips.
    Help a brother out!

Uh - there is a FM/AM antenna on the passenger side fender, right?

I have the AM/FM/XM 6 CD changer with Bose sound system in my 04 Chevy Silverado. I do have On star but it is not activated. I am pretty electronic savvy but this thing has me baffled. The AM and FM channels are all weak, static, barely understandable. I had XM service for a couple of weeks...

Well, I've had Chevy antennas go bad in the past due to water intrusion/corrosion. Your truck is 11 years old so maybe check for loose/corroded connections or just replace the antenna. None of those suggestions are usually very easy to accomplish.

I believe OP has an AM/FM issue.
