Not sure what OPs question is but... in the interest of keeping the hanges from getting too tere.
Older chromebooks can still be good values if they are cheap.
Cloud data storage prices will continue to get cheaper, so I wouldn't put much value on that.If it was a snake, it would have bit me.

The free 200mb a month for life is a little misleading. It's the life of the machine which could be set at 3 or 4 years, not real life. WOOT.com sells them quite often. I have thought of buying one for use when traveling and I need to pay the bills online. 200mb isn't very much but for light web use and Email it would be fine.Comment

While I'm no fan of Google they have a means to providing what I want at a price Microsoft and Apple can't touch. I put a chromebox in at home today and tied it into an old 24" monitor from 8 years ago that still looks nice. The chromebox I ordered yesterday on Amazon and got today, Sunday, and added a wireless keyboard and mouse for $229. $25 more to connect my old monitor with a new cord / adapter.
Next up will be about $160 in a Lima and external hard drive so I can cloud adapt all my gear.Comment
