    What's a good IP camera?

Something for indoor use to watch the cats while we are in Vegas?

Pan & tilt and night vision is nice.

    Under $100.

    Thanks.

I have a few Foscam IP cams. They all work great. Get the new HD version. The picture is twice as good as the old standard.

I have a few IZON 2.0 Stem Wi-Fi Video Monitor Surveillance cameras that I got off Amazon and they are awesome. Sometimes you can find them on sale for less than $50

Like the foscam camera but the app freezes a lot on mine or won't login, kinda frustrating.

Wait...if you're in Vegas and your cats do something...what can/are you gonna do about it?

And I just use a deactivated phone with a IP camera app. It still has Wi-Fi so it works

So in case they kill each other I can head back early before the smell sets in?

Foscam, but dont get any of the P model (Plug & Play).

There was an article about the P models keep doing "hand-shake" with a server in Taiwan(ThroughTek).

Foscam works better with Blue Iris software, their mobile apps are crap.

I have the foscampro app that is ok but I mainly use the Livecams pro app. I haven't had any freezing with it.

I have Foscams and Blue Iris. Started playing with the cams over 5 years ago. Unless something has changed in the process of viewing the cams from outside your house LAN I think it needs to be mentioned.

You have to set the cam with a static IP and a port number. Then you have to go into your WAN facing router and open an external port forwarding rule for that port number that is tied to the cam IP.

And then you need to have a static WAN IP or subscribe to a dynamic DNS service that points a domain name to your WAN IP and updates the pointer should your WAN IP change. Then you set the software on your mobile device to access the domain name and port.

Recently set Blue Iris to record when it sees motion in areas of the image. Discovered I have 3 different cats making passage between my house and external garage on a daily basis. I have noticed the small ground vermin is gone. When the cats disappear I will know the foxes and coyotes are back. Ah, the circle of life.
