Building a pc. Where to buy

So i am building a gaming pc, nothing crazy. I want to buy all parts at the same time is there a place near the IE that i can just walk in and buy everything? Motherboard,tower etc

I don't know if you have a Fry's Electronic up there, but you can check. They're a bit overpriced on some things, but if you don't mind, then you should be fine.

If you don't mind waiting, I suggest you start looking up deals online and gradually buy piece by piece.

Newegg by far. If you REALLY shop around you might get some stuff cheaper between Newegg, Fry's and Tiger Direct, but that takes a lot of effort for not a lot of gain. Just use Newegg.

Not from tiger direct they are out of business. Best to take a little time picking up the parts. I typically wait on a deal for the case psu and ssd. Then I pick up the mobo CPU ram.

If you absolutely have to go the brick and mortar route then Fry's Electronics is the only option.

You'd get the most out of it if you price match, but be sure to read the fine print on their price match limitations.

I freaking love Fry's for this. Yeah if I have patience or are doing some upgrades I go with Amazon and Newegg, but when I'm building a new machine its because of a serious failure and the old machine has too outdated of parts to warrant just replacing the failed components I go to Fry's. This is specifically because my machine is down and I don't want to be without a machine for a week waiting for all the parts to arrive.

For example my machine 6 months ago got a bad powersupply failure that blew the motherboard. The CPU used an outdated socket and new motherboards didn't support the old memory. The video card was on the old side as well, so I'm mostly to buying a new machine as it was.

So it was off to Fry's even though its over an hour away. Was able to buy everything I needed all at once and was putting all my old applications back on later that evening, total down time was measured in hours rather than a week.

They also match internet prices, but I found that to not be important since they are competitive already. In fact every part I was considering I looked up on Newegg and Fry's beat their price by at least $10 and I didn't even have to pay for shipping, or risk a theft off the front porch.
