    pci express 3.0 backwards compatable?

I searched google and I get about 50/50 yes vs. no.
    I have a pc with a PCIe 2.0 x16 slot, and I'm looking at a graphics card that is PCIe 3.0 x16.

*edit: this is the card I'm looking at.

and this is the PC I have is an Asus M11AD-US009O

Yes, PCIe is backwards compatible, however some of the newer cards may require UEFI.

      Thanks!
My PC has the Asus H81M-A mother board which has UEFI BIOS, so I should be good to go.
