Windows 10 "system thread exception not handled "

I keep getting this on start up of my Dell laptop. I tried system restore but it didn't work. Anyone know how to fix this. I upgraded it from windows 8

You will most likely have to wipe your hardrive and re-install Windows.

Boot using windows and when you re-install it, do a custom install, then you'll have options to completely wipe your drive.

    Hope that helps.

I agree. D/L the Win 10 disc image from MS, make a USB boot disc, and do a clean install of Win 10.

I was able to do a system restore after about 4 tries. So far it's working normal. I made a recovery drive with a new usb. Should I still do an install ? Sorry not a computer person at all.

I also had all kinds of problems when I upgraded from Windows 8 to 10. Luckily my HP Stream was still new enough that I had the option to change back to Windows 8 with no problem and all of my issues went away.

I think the latest super update took care of a lot of the bugs people were experiencing with the original release of Win 10.

try Reset this PC, which is in Settings > Update & Security > Recovery or just search for Reset this PC in Cortana.

If not successful then clean install may be necessary.
