    Gamers: For Fallout 4, XB1 or PS4?

    Hey gang,

So I don't have either of the current generation game consoles. With the upcoming release of Fallout 4, I would like to finally jump into this generations gaming. Which system has proven to be reliable and worth it's price tag at this point? I was hoping to see some custom console bundles for Fallout (like the Destiny one for PS4) but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. And are there any good deals on buying a brand-new console right now? I keep seeing the PlayStation4 bundle with "the last of us" which looks mildly interesting but it's $399. Is this as good as it gets?

Wait until closer to Christmas and see if there are any sales or new bundles for the inevitable holiday sales. It's not like those items won't be there for years to come.

I waited and was able to get a PS4 with a good bundle deal.

I pre-ordered the XBOX One with Fallout 4. Same price for the bare 1T hard drive one but with the $60 Fallout 4 game thrown in.
I own both the XBOX 360 and PS3. The controller for the 360 fits my hands better than the PS3 one.
The PS3 controller feels too small compared to the XBOX one.
        I have medium size hands.

I have visible abs and I say Xbox one. Once they finally get around to that backward compatibility thing it will definitely be XBONE FTW.

I definitely don't have visible abs...

I'm not sure I would ever take advantage of backwards compatibility though...

Is running Netflix easier on either system?

I really have no interest in investing in a gaming rig. I have a very simple laptop to do very basic things all web surfing is done via iPad and iPhone. A console will fit right in with my TV, sound bar and big comfy armchair so that's why I'm sticking to it.

I haven't upgraded my PC (other than RAM and Video card) in 5-6 years, and although it's time for an i7 to keep up with all the ads, just to see a video on a page that is mostly ads, I think I'll stick with the 50" TV for games, for as little as I play. This is also assuming that I buy a new console that Fallout 4 will release on... however silver is still under $16/oz, so I think I'll wait on both... for now.

I am not a fan boy, I have an Xbox, PS4 and a pretty hardcore PC. I would get a PS4 if you prefer a couch and controller. Price drop today to $349. The PS4 has better hardware and better exclusive games plus you can explore VR with the PS4. You can run netflix, hulu and Amazon on both. The PS4 bundle with The Last of Us is what I would recomend. I dont typically like cinematic games I am more of an FPS guy but the Last of Us was one of the best single player games I have played in years.

Something to consider. WHEN your Xbox1 takes a dump or is outdated you are boned. IF your PC breaks, easy cheap fix.

Speaking from years of experience, PC is the master race. You asked what is the "reliable value" and PC is the answer. Sorry if you didnt want to hear

Or get a Steam Box if you insist on the console shape to fit in your living room.

Everything is outdated from one minute to the next and a sub $400 gaming console isn't a massive financial hit to take once the next gen consoles are out (which is a long ways out). My question was directed around the two console options and I guess I should have stated for the "master race" to keep out of the discussion since it tends to go sideways really quick.

Ps4, because I am on there, and most people i know who got the xbone first, ended up not liking it and rather have gotten the ps4.

And ignore the lowly PC sexuals. Its a mental disorder they have.

Also getting it for PS4 as well. Don't have anything against the Xbone, just haven't felt the need to set aside the money to buy it with the only exclusives that really interest me are the Forza series and I can still get my fix playing Forza 3 or 4 on the 360.
