Needing some new PC speakers that won't brake the bank

I have Logitech now w/base thumper, they've been much better than expected, but now there blow an rattle, so time to get new ones.

Now I got these on sale for $38, 4yrs ago, I think they were like $68, I'm sure I'll not get that deal, so what say you CG tech gurus, have some tips to share ?

Not looking to brake the bank, just good sound for the $$.

    Thanks gunner's.

I found my Harmon Kardon SoundSticks on Craigslist for $100 BNIB. They are really, really good speakers for the price.

        I think they're $169 retail

Mine were actually new, but the box had been opened.

I paid $75 for a used 5.1 Sony stereo with speakers and a sub and another $15 or so for the optical cable to connect it to the PC.

MUCH better than ANY standard PC speakers.

Klipsch ProMedia 2.1. I've been pretty impressed by these so far, bang for buck.

If you're really concerned about $$$ then you could go with the Logitech X-230 on eBay.

Me, I went with the Logitech Z623.
