Just bought a new Dell laptop with Windows 10 and I've been getting the error: Wi-Fi doesn't have a valid IP configuration.
I am able connect to my wifi at home no problem if I just booted up from a shutdown or restart. If I close my lid and put the PC to sleep, once I open it my wifi signal says I'm connected to my network but I'm stuck at the "identifying" part. Once I run the diagnostic helper that's when I get the main error.
I've tried a few suggestions online:
-the ipconfig/release and renew commands
-make sure DHCP is enabled
-have not tried manually inputting numbers into IPv4 like some suggestions stated, not that computer savvy and couldn't find all the values I needed
none have seemed to work. Open to any suggestions, thank you in advance!
