    Digital TV antenna issue

So my mom has a digital TV antenna on the roof and it feeds into her living room and bedroom.

She replaced her bedroom TV and lost signal to all channels under 40.

I moved the TV to the living room and it then receives all channels after a new channel search.

But back in her bedroom, it now finds channel 5.1, 5.2 and channels over 40...
The others channels 2,4,7 etc are now found.

Any idea what could be the issue?

There is an inline signal filter somewhere in the system. my guess

The old TV worked fine but was an old tube TV.
The new one is a 32" LG that is plugged into the same coax cable.

So I am not sure why the old set received signal but the new set will not???

Guessing, but maybe it's an internal antenna in the tv that's picking them up in the living room?

Antenna point.com will tell you the directions to point locally, based on zip code. Last time I set one up, I got it right on the first try. Nice thing about digital is you get the signal or you don't.

The old bedroom set had the digital / analog converter.
The living room is a typical flat screen.

          Citadel rad-
The digital antenna has been up for 2-3 years. The antenna feeds into a splitter that send the signal to both locations. The living room works fine... The bedroom is where the problem is....

I have replaced the splitter that comes off of the antenna and that did not help

I am really confused why the new set only picks up channel 5.1 and 5.2 and the higher channels.

I tried the tv with no antenna attached and the set gets zero channels

I am going to cut off and re crimp the connectors on the line to the bedroom tomorrow.

Since the TV is new have you scanned the new channels in jusy connecting it to a coax cable won't work without scanning the channels in
