Adobe CS6 Design and Web

Looking for a little help from you guys that know about programs like CS6 Design and web.

That software is older but still out there. I am looking for a similar program that has the same features, newer or maybe better in its abilities.

I want to use it for custom images, logos, and web design.

Any recommendations?

I still use CS6 for work, it wont go away for a long time.

If you do not already know Photoshop then I recommend GIMP ( http://www.gimp.org/ ) its free and will do everything Photoshop will do, its menus are different so there is a learning curve if you are used to Photoshop but if starting out, then GIMP is always my recommendation.

For the web part, I would start out with Kompozer ( http://kompozer.net/ ) it is very Dreamweaver like and of course free. If you don't need something that powerful, then Phonegap is pretty cool ( http://phonegap.com/ ) and as you can guess by its name is primarily designed to create mobile apps. I personally use Kompozer more than Phonegap, but I own CS6 and work with it daily at home and work.
