Need help, Iphone 6 won't charge

I can't get my phone to charge. I have a new Apple approved USB cord. Tried plugging into my PC, and wall jack for about an hour each. Tried cleaning out the port in the phone, and hard restart/boot, but nothing. All that happens is a momentary low battery icon and USB cord end icon on the screen then it goes black.

I've jammed that charging port up pretty good with lint. Sure you got all that out? Use a pin.

I did that and blew it out with some canned air to clean computers.

        Test with a different cord.

Test with a different power adapter.

        Repeat your reset.

If it still doesn't charge, call Apple/AppleCare.

Well I gave up and took it to the Apple store, and they did "something in the back" to get it to start charging But low and behold when I got home, and it won't charge again. WTF

Been there done that! Trust me buy and brand new stuff tooth bush and go to town on the port, dig in there. I almost returned my phone. Worked like a charm! compressed air will not do it.

The toothbrush will work if it's the port. Otherwise back it up and return it because your battery failed.

been there done that. i blew it out with an air compressor (not the canned crap) I mean a real air compressor and haven't had that problem for a year. Be careful you don't blow the guts out of it.

Put the phone into recovery mode and then do a full restore. This is wipe the OS and take the phone back to it's state when it came from the factory.

After you are done, you can restore the phone from backup (assuming you've backed up your phone to your computer) and put back on all of your apps, contacts, music, etc.

I would open your window, disconnect the phone from the charger and.....let the inevitable happen.

Do this, sell it, buy an open-box, sub-$100 Android that will actually copy-paste everything you try to...

Until it gets hit by one of the increasing number of security vulnerabilities that are coming to light.

Despite what hatebois say about one platform or the other, pick what works best for you. There is always some tool that will tell you your choice sucks. They'll swear that theirs is better, but all of them have their issues.

Most likely your cord or charger is shot, if they were able to get it charging at the store. The cords break easily.

Assuming you have tried all the power options at home (use a different wall socket, use a different wall adapter, use a different cord), and all that fails, take it back to the Apple store and see if it will charge in their environment. Take your cord and wall charger and receipt with you. If the phone will charge with their cord and adapter, from a wall socket and also from a usb port, then ask them to exchange the cord and adapter you brought. They should be happy to do that.

THEN, in their presence, in the store, test the new cord and adapter, both to a wall socket and to a usb. If the phone charges then problem solved. If it won't charge, it's the phone and they should fix it or replace it.

I have a charger that sometimes does not start charging when the cable is plugged into the phone. 99% of the time, it just works as designed.

Try leaving the cable plugged into the phone and charger then unplug/reconnect the charger at the wall socket. Somehow this works on mine. Not sure what causes this.
