Fitbit watches and scale and their Stock FIT

Does anyone own one? How do you like it? I imagine its mainly for runners but after looking at their site they have one that can track your sleep? Has heart rate and a few other things.

other neat features such as caller ID to sync with your phone is neat so you dont have to pull out your phone to see whos calling.

I also invested in the company since they just had a IPO, their stock ticker is FIT.

Possibly buying the scale and a watch for the lady.

I got one for a present a couple weeks ago, and after using it for 3 days decided it was stupid and had the family member that purchased it send it back. I already excersize, so what's the point? Also, most of my excersize is not walking, and the fitbit would show thousands of extra "steps" that didn't even happen. I'd go to sleep and wake up and it would say I walked 200 steps. Unless I'm a sleep walker, there is no way. I'd walk 20 steps down the hall and it would say I walked 100. Even if it worked perfectly, what's the point?

I think these fitbits are for obese people that don't excersize, or maybe for old people that are retired and want to play the walking game. OCD excersizers? Must ... walk ... more ...

I have a Fitbit Charge HR -- it was useful for tracking overall heartrate activity including non-exercise activities such as yardwork. The sleep tracker was really cool because I needed to verify whether my sleep was interrupted frequently and if I was really sleeping 3-4 hours a night.

It can do some other stuff, that I don't care about, but for the die hard exercise people, it was kind of useless for tracking high heart rates such as >140 probably due to excessive sweat.

Nice toy, but I don't need a lot of 24/7 biometric monitoring. Not wearing it anymore as the rubber/plastic wristband irritates after awhile.

Some inclincation to short FIT. It's a commodity item that anyone can make.

You guys see it today? it hit 40.45$ Back down to 37.50, After Hours : 37.95 Up 0.89

You might not like it, but possibly many more do. Its not for everyone.
Its def for people who work out and take it seriously. Theres many other competitors, microsoft which isnt doing too well, Garmin, and a few others.

The thing is, they can expand to other areas such as a smart watch to compete with apples 900$ iwatch that requires you to have a iphone.

If they do id guess a 300-400$ smart watch would have more buyers than a iwatch. thats just a guess though.

For me, I ride a bike for fitness and use the Garmin edge 510. Heartrate, miles, speed, elevation, power readout if you have a power meter, cadence, grade of climb etc. Very useful data if you are competing in cycling.

That data also aids in knowing what you are capable of and you adjust your riding so you dont blow up climbing a mountain etc.

Lastly right now its trending and for the good for many profit wise.

I have the Charge HR. I like it. The heart rate monitoring 24/7 and sleep is what I wanted it for. The heart rate monitor isn't as accurate. Their Dashboard and UX is pretty nice. I hear great things about the Garmin also, except you have to get a separate chest strap for heart rate monitoring (accurate) which is another accessory to wear. Not water resistant. The only time I don't wear it is when I shower (to charge it up).

I will eventually get this: http://www.chooseblocks.com/, hopefully not vaporware. Intel is funding them with a tiny grain of sand.

I wanted a wearable that didn't take away features of the phone because I also have my phone with me. I wanted a wearable that complimented with my phone and the Charge HR is just what I needed it to do. You can take a look at the Surge if you want GPS capabilities and to control your music. Personally I wouldn't go less than a Charge HR.

The one I have clips onto your pocket. Its amusing but I wouldn't buy one. Mine was provided by my employer and we get $100 cash if we can hit a million steps by December.

The stock will fall fast when the new Pivotal Living tracker gets going strong. It's based on a yearly charge for the app, which includes the fitness band. The cost? $12, and you get the newest model band free each year.

Wife has one. It's a older model works great. Plus it is hooked up to her work health insurance and because of that we get a discount on health care.

I keep the fitbit one in my pocket because I would rather wear a watch. I have the scale and it is fantastic. The first one broke after two years and they gave me a replacement for free. Whole family loves it.

bought the fitbit for SO mainly for sleep patterns. seems to be happy with it and uses it to as evidence how the little one keeps her awake many times while i'm happily sleeping undisturbed.

My GF showed my something she was interested in called bellabeat leaf - I couldn't find much in the way of reviews, and the company seemed like it should have been in real production Q1 2015, rather than waitlist mode as you will see from their website. It is a nice aesthetic design as it can be worn in several ways - bracelet, necklace, clothing pin. It is/does some women specific stuff.

It's on my list if I can see some real reviews and the company seems to be really producing - not much for the waitlist idea.

I have a fitbit one and I've lost it twice. The clip is really crappy and it pops out easily. Their support is amazing though, and have replaced it BOTH times for me. Even after it was 2 years old. Great company and the product works well. I use it to track my steps so I can tell if I had a really lazy day.
